TAAB LEMIX (L029)

TAAB LEMIX (L029) is a low viscosity epoxy resin, 70.8 cp at 25°C. The monomer is water miscible and may be used to achieve water replacement without causing excessive shrinkage. Lipid loss is much less than with ethanol dehydration. With conventional solvent dehydration rapid tissue penetration is achieved without the need for propylene oxide. When cured the resin remains hydrophilic, facilitating the use of water based histological dyes. The resin produces excellent ultrathin and semi-thin sections. Ultrathin sections readily take up EM stains and have a high degree of beam stability. Available as a water replacement kit or ethanol/acetone dehydration kits and special formulations for EM or LM.
