Minimise the risk of Anaesthetic Agents

Substances that poses a risk to workers' health and safety can be found in nearly all workplaces. Nearly 15% of workers in the EU have to handle substances and work with agents that put their health in danger. Dangerous substances in veterinary sector Workers in the veterinary sector in particular, are at a higher risk to be exposed to harmful agents. The levels of dangerous agents that veterinary workers come in a direct contact with, have to be monitored to ensure workplace safety as directed by EU standards. Anaesthetic Monitoring Badges The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations oblige any organisation using Anaesthetic Agents to check the waste gas levels are within specified limits. These limits are based on an 8 Hour Time Weighted Average (TWA) and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) recommends the test intervals to be at least every 14 months.
