Nursery World Show 2022

30-08-2022

Sanondaf UK will again be exhibiting at the UK’s leading early years show at the Business Design Centre in London in April 2022. After a 2 year break due to the pandemic, Nursery World Show is back and Sanondaf are looking forward to meeting all childcare practitioners looking to enhance their cleaning and disinfection routines. Childcare is one of the many sectors Sanondaf operates in as infections are a constant concern for childcare staff, carers, parents and children themselves. Dr Nicol Black, a public health expert, completed an 18-month study into the links between nursery attendance and a greater risk of infections amongst pre-school children. His findings supported the claim that nurseries are a “wonderful melting pot” for infections. “Pre-school children in day-care are 3 – 4 times more likely to have a respiratory infection than a child who stays at home.” – Dr Nicol Black. He added that in half of the households studied, when a child does become sick, other members of the household would also become sick. Of this group, 13% of the adults were quite ill and had to take an average of 6 days off work. Sanondaf’s infection prevention & control process is a highly effective & efficient preventative measure against these risks. “Operating a children’s nursery from a multi-purpose building has many challenges, cross contamination and infection control being a major one. Simply put, this system takes us to 99.99% germ free. Regardless of how good our cleaners are and how thorough our infection control procedures are, we just could not achieve this level ourselves.” – Gillian Robertson, Owner of Headstart Nursery, Glasgow.
